OUR SCHOOL

The townshop of Buangor is nestled between Mount Buangor, Mount Cole and Mount Langi Ghiran, on the bank of the Billy Billy Creek. The name Buangor is Aboriginal for pointed hill, a reference to Mount Buangor. The town was developed in the 1860's as a service centre to local farms and travellers as a Cobb & Co. staging station. The Cobb & Co stables is a unique building in the area. 


The primary school was built in 1878. It comprises of the the original school house and a mix of old and new buildings, showing the history over the years.
